Last year's lecture on " Mediaeval Craft Gilds," contained several references and suggested several points for further elucidation.
Hence the title of this lecture.
As it is in the nature of a sequel, or, more properly, an appendix, it was difficult to give it a more definite title.
Some of the topics that will come before us may seem to have little direct bearing on matters specifically Masonic, at any rate, at the first glance.
But I wish to say that anyone who has seriously pursued historical research or literary analysis or even speculative contemplation soon finds out that a single topic may gather around itself a bewildering variety of subsidiary topics which all contribute to its better understanding.
