Our first lecturer was V.W. Bro. Mazengarb, who addressed us on "The Connection of Our Whole System," and those of us who had the privilege of hearing that lecture will never forget it. The lecturer accompanied me the following evening to Lodge Victoria, where he again delivered a most eloquent address.
Our next lecturer was W. Bro. Newton, of Auckland, whose subject was "The Lodges of Yesteryear," and in a most entertaining and interesting lecture he lifted the curtain and enabled the brethren to look back over the ages and to see how our ancient brethren conducted the Lodges—and themselves.
