The only ancient writings we bave which describe King Solomon's Temple (KST) are those in the Bible - in 1Kings 6 and 7, and in 2 Chronicles .3 There are references to KST elsewhere in the Bible, but there is no other description.
Archaeologists and others who have studied the matter have found the remains of temples similar to the Biblical description of King Solomon's Temple, built at about the same time and by the same people, but this is as close as they can get to confirmation of the Biblical description.
They are unable to find any ancient writings apart from the Bible describing King Solomon's Temple, and they are unable to point to any stone or artefact and say definitely that this was part of King Solomon's Temple.
On a purely archaeological basis, it is as though David, Solomon and his Temple never existed.
