The reasons for undertaking research for this paper have changed over time.
Originally it was intended that a simple relationship between the Ten Commandments detailed in the Old Testament of the Bible and one of the stated Principles of Freemasonry be examined.
That Principle is that “Freemasonry strives to make good men better”.
This certainly is so in the Jurisdiction with which I am familiar. [1] An argument that it would be better for Society if we were to make not so good men into good men was theoretically planned.
