In the 1200’s in the Dutch town of ’s-Hertogenbosch (birthplace of Hieronymus Bosch) a little Romanesque church dedicated to St. John the evangelist was built just outside the city walls.
In the late 1300’s a larger Gothic style church was built in its place.
