This Lodge has to provide the necessary study, and the necessary research to give interest to the Brethren of Freemasonry throughout the land, and to guide their thoughts along the right lines.
To do so, this Lodge of Research necessarily must go into the origin of the forms of Freemasonry.
It is not necessary to delve amongst the dry bones of Freemasonry, and to make those things the be-all and end-all of Masonic study, but you are fortunate if in your lecturer you have a Brother who has given deep and considered. thought to Masonry.
His delving amongst the dry bones of Freemasonry is only to find what is hidden there, and he does not glorify those dry bones simply for themselves.
