Of the three Grand Masters who presided at the building of K.S.T. very little seems to be known amongst members of the Craft generally concerning at least two of them, save that one was the K. of T. and the other the S. of a W. of T. These two associates of K.S. are constantly referred to in our Masonic traditions and records, and their connection, therefore, with the K. of I. demands some special attention and examination. H. K. of T. was, we know, a figure both in sacred and profane history, but even in the minds of those who are more than conversant with the legend of the third degree there exists a certain amount of difficulty and confusion in establishing the identity of H.A.B.
