Having served as Lodge Secretary, both in New Plymouth and here in Christchurch, for a period of over 20 years I would like to express my thoughts on its impact on you, and on your Masonic career.
Over the past few months I have been endeavouring to collect as many Lodge Notices as I could to make a comparison of their value, from my point of view, belore presenting this paper.
These have been obtained from as far North as the Northland District, and as far South as the Southland District, and I am very appreciative of the assistance received from those Provincial Grand Masters and Lodge Secretaries who have helped.
The preparation of the Lodge Notice is of paramount importance, whether it is prepared by the Secretary, Worshipful Master, or by any other Brother who is experienced in this field. The front side of course must have clearly defined the name and number of the Lodge, together with the name of the Master and the Secretary, along with their address and phone number and of course the date of the Meeting clearly defined.
