In examining some of the abuses and advantages of Freemasonry I have drawn on my 14 years' experience in the Craft.
During that period, I have visited Lodges in almost every province in New Zealand as well as in England, Scotland and Australia, and have also attained the chair of King Solomon, which in itself has opened for me the door to some wonderful experiences in Freemasonry.
Before proceeding let me remind you that Freemasonry is a peculiar system veiled in
allegory and illustrated by symbols.
We are also taught that it is a progressive science.
Freemasonry has many great and invaluable privileges but unfortunately too many candidates and brethren are inclined to look for any possible material advantages and ignore the spiritual aspect altogether.
