As a result of our relationship to early building trades, and the establishment of three levels of skill within our ritual, Entered Apprentice [EA], Fellow Craft [FC] and Master Mason [MM], appropriate levels of skill and knowledge are called for prior to a candidate moving to a higher level.
As there are no physical skills concerned in our speculative craft. we rely on levels of knowledge to xsess the candidate’s ability to move on to a higher level.
Thus before an EA can become a FC, he must prove some proficiency. Similarly before a FC can become a MM, evidence of proficiency is required.
