During last year we were privileged to hear an address by R. W. Bro. Jack Glenie P. G. W. and P. M. of the United Masters Lodge No 167 on the ways and means of preparing Lodge Histories with an excellent practical example depicting some of the early beginnings of Freemasonry in our own Waikato District and of the first Lodges Beta Waikato No. 12, Alpha No 81, Te Aroha No.52 and Te Awamutu, now in Auckland.
It is my hope this evening to record a period which could very easily be forgotten.
That period of formation leading up to the receipt of the Warrant in our case a gestation time of some two years.
