King Solomon's Temple was built on Mount Moriah, a subsidiary mountain to Mount Zion of the Judean Hills, in the ancient city of Jerusalem, a city which has been throughout the ages a centre of strife, whose streets have almost constantly resounded with the clash of battle.
The meaning of Jerusalem is " Habitation of Peace."
