The study of poetic literature in the education of to-day is too often narrowed down to the analysing of sentences, looking up facts of the Author's life, noting irregularities of metre, and searching out grammatical discrepancies, while the broader and more important art of drawing out in one's own body and mind the physical, mental and spiritual powers of the great writers is consciously or unconsciously overlooked and neglected.
