This Lodge takes to itself the proud name of " Research " ; it does not restrict its inquiries solely to Masonic history part of our creed is the investigation of the hidden mysteries of Nature and of Science.
Whether Nature and Science and their mysteries involve the whole of Masonic art or not, it behoves us all, as Masons, to pause occasionally and consider our own position in the scheme of things.
You remember that Masonry is founded on the acknowledgement of the Supreme Creator ; by what particular creed we approach that Supreme Creator is immaterial. It is often pre-supposed that it is impossible for a scientist to believe in the existence of such a Supreme Power, but, as I have had the pleasure of pointing out on very many occasions, there is absolutely no possibility of a scientist being an atheist.
