The primary idea of this paper is to evoke a discussion, and, if possible, arrive at an agreement as to how far the Doctrine of Physical Perfection can be regarded as one of the Antient Landmarks of Freemasonry.
Obviously, then, it is the writer's first duty to investigate those ancient landmarks with a view to ascertain what bearing they have on the matter, and how far, and to what extent, they lay down peremptory pronouncements on the subject.
