In 1956, during the Mastership of W. Bro. Maurice Arthur, I was privileged to address this Lodge on that subject as far as the First Degree was concerned, and a couple of years later the Second Degree came under review.
It is now proposed to complete the study by considering those aspects of the Third Degree Ritual.
There is little doubt that at the time our Ritual was being crystallised into its present shape the V.S.L. was more widely read than it is to-day.
For one reason, there were few books and newspapers available to the average man, and Bible reading in the homes was not uncommon.
