As human beings, we must in the normal course associate together. Man is naturally a social and gregarious animal. " Whosoever delighteth in solitude," says Francis Bacon in his Essay on Friendship, " is either a wild beast or a god." We are all children of the same Father and brothers of the same great Master Builder. We have our duties to God, to our neighbours, and to ourselves, and these duties we are bound by the most sacred vows to observe.
