I have frequently heard it said that visiting is one of the great privileges - if not the greatest that Freemasonry confers,

With this view I strongly disagree -to my mind the greatest privilege conferred is Freemasonry itself, for it is a “A Way of Life”, or if you prefer it, “A Way to Higher Life” (and service).
