When I first made up my mind on a subject for this short paper I thought to write on
"Contrasts between our Constitution and that of the Grand Lodge of England."
This I was tempted to do by a remark of the Grand Secretary (Here let me say that no discourtesy is meant when I don't apply the prefixes to the title of any Grand or Provincial Grand Lodge officer throughout this paper.
By so omitting them I am, for the convenience of writing, adopting the same course as that adopted throughout the various constitutions).
At the last annual communication he said, in advocating a change in one of the clauses, that the proposed change was only meant to bring our Constitution in line with the Constitution of the Grand Lodge of England.
