The purpose of this talk is to debunk the supposed mystique of Freemasonry and demolish the long-standing suspicion that the Freemasons were behind the Whitechapel murders.
For the origin of the Masonic conspiracy theory of the Jack the Ripper story, we begin by looking at the alleged involvement of the painter, Walter Sickert.
Basically, he can only be linked to the Ripper murders by the apparently inordinate preoccupation reflected in some of his paintings, which relate to violent murder.
Patricia Cornwell, most recently, and others before her, see a direct, confessional link in Sickert’s paintings to the Whitechapel murders.
