This paper is presented so that you, the reader, will receive some pleasure and enlightenment and that you may achieve a broader outlook and appreciation of the Craft’s Australian history, particularly the early history of Freemasonry in this tiny island state of Tasmania.
Freemasonry in Australia has as much rich history as in any other free nation in the world.
It has a thread of controversies woven through the fabric of every Constitution.
The richness of its history has also yielded up men who aspired to a state of excellence and at the same time has shown the foibles in their human characters.
