I propose to give you some information with respect to the set of Ivory Gavels, the property of Grand Lodge.
They were the gift of the late Brother Frederick James Browne, of Lodge Otaki No. 72, and were presented to Grand Lodge at the Annual Communication on the 10th May 1905.
In the unavoidable absence of MW Bro R J Seddon, PGM (GM 1898-99) who had undertaken at the special request of the donor to hand over the gavels on his behalf, the duty was carried out by MW Bro H J Williams, PGM (GM 1902-03)
