I hold in my hand the copy of the Bible which was presented to me at the time I was raised to the Third Degree in my Mother Lodge on the 27th May, 1935, almost 30 years ago.
Pasted within the cover and over the signature of the Master and Secretary of the Lodge is this admonition:
"As a Freemason you are to study the Sacred Law, to consider it as the unerring standard of truth and justice and to regulate your life and actions by its divine precepts. Herein you are taught the duty you owe to God, to your neighbour and to yourself."
