It is now nine years since the first meeting for those interested in furthering Masonic study in this district was called resulting in the creation of the Hawke's Bay Research Lodge.
It was felt at that time that there was a definite sphere of work for such a Lodge, and a place for the contribution that it could make to the Masonic well-being of the district.
The Hawke's Bay Research Lodge was consecrated at Hastings on August 1, 1933, and since that time many useful and notable lectures have been contributed.
