The subject we have for consideration this evening is one of the most important and interesting details of Craft Freemasonry.
It is important because there is no doubt about the general agreement of Freemasons as to this being one of the most Ancient Landmarks, and it is interesting by reason of its own characteristics with which you are all familiar.
