We could go back to the late 19th and early 20th Centuries when Freemasonry in Queensland was very fragmented and operating under various District and Provincial Grand Lodges, then forming two separate Grand Lodges until in I921 the United Grand Lodge of Queensland was formed.
The road to that formation was not smooth, indeed was full of potholes of personal ambition and strewn with the rocks of unbending stubbornness.
However good sense overcame most difficulties and the United Grand Lodge of Queensland came into being.
Not that all ambitions and stubbornness disappeared.
